ABOUT ME
I am a primary school teacher specialized in English teaching as a foreign language.
Having worked in different socioeducational environments and being committed to various volunteering projects, I base my teaching on an innovative pedagogical approach from a real, significant and contextualized learning, combined with the work of emotions and personal development of children. I truly believe that empowering children to think critically by fostering awareness on diverese topics can lead to an important social change.
I consider myself a creative and dynamic person and for that reason I think I could contribute to the current educational system with some freshness.
I have been living in Malta for one year, participating in a European Volunteering Service from the European Solidarity Corps in collaboration with Erasmus + in a small organisation called Centru Tbexbix which is located in the region of Cottonera, Malta. This organisation provides education and social service based in the city of Cospicua and it hosts a variety of projects and activities aimed at the all-round development of children, youth and elderly..
Programmes were based on the principles of neo-humanism, which stands for expansive love and respect for others and the whole of creation, recognizing that true education lies in the development of all levels of one's being: physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual.
I consider myself a creative person and I love technology, for that reason I think I could contribute with a breath of fresh air with regards to the educational world, combined with an innovative pedagogical perspective based on the work of emotions and the children development from a real, significant and contextualized learning.
Being a teacher is an amazing profession. Teachers have the chance to build the knowledge basis of the future citizens, so they're contributing to create the future society in a very special way.
Teachers are who have on their hands the future doctors, lawyers, artists, architects and even teachers. Therefore, they should be competent and give children the tools, values and resources they need in order to become what they want to be. Besides that, it is also important to know how is the mind of a child formed, the development of the different skills and how can we contribute to its development.
